Believe it or not, but a Pixar animated short inspired me to compose this piece!
The comical short told the story of a sad man who begrudgingly went to work each day bored out of his mind and who consistently suppressed his longing for all things fun in life. He wouldn’t eat hotdogs, pancakes, swim in the ocean, or try and make friends. If we’re not careful, this man’s sad story can become our sad reality. You’re never too young to learn this lesson.
Daydreamer is for the intermediate piano student. It teaches staccato, legato, and trill. There’s a delicate balance between the mechanical musical ideas which represent the routine and the aspirational musical ideas which represent the daydream.

Love it! There is philosophy and expression presented with a sense of accomplishment. The technique aspirations add color and skills for an expressionist.
